Getting Through the Summer Sale
Last year I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. It was BAD, I mean really bad. I had a blood sugar level of 280 while fasting. I have spent the last year adjusting medication
going to the Doctor, adjusting medication, feeling sick, going to the Doctor etc etc. I have spent the last year in this cycle. I will get my glucose under control and then I will
get sick, knocking it all out of wack again with no real viable reason, just because.
Then, summer hits. Summer in my house is hard. I realize it's hard for everyone now days but summers are the worst. I moved to NY because the economy tanked and I was losing my home. I moved in with
my sister and I helped take care of her son so that she could go to college and get a degree to make their lives better. You would think that once he hit school age my being at the house all the time would
change but with her going to school someone has to be here to put him on the bus and get him off, when he's sick or the inevitable snow day. That being said, I don't have a job, my job is working with
digital content ei. clip art, scrap kits, 3D poser/daz products. In the summer my sister doesn't work because she has a job at the college which does not require her for the summers. This seems like a great thing
but tell a potential employer in an economic destitute city (unemployement here is nearly 9%) that you only plan to work 2 and a half months. A summer job isn't going to happen.
All that being said, this summer has been worse than in the past. I've had to forego meds for food. I've had to ditch my low carb, diabetic diet so we can eat pasta because it's cheap. While I do currently have internet
this is due to the fact that my sister needs it for college and it's not a luxury so much as a necessity for her to complete her education. That being said, it also means we have to do without some much needed things like
getting to go to a laundrymat (washing clothes in the bathtub sucks especially as a grown woman in her 40s) test strips, and a phone etc.
Had I been in a scrap store, or a clipart licensing store this might not have been so bad but as it is, nearly every store I have been in has closed for one reason or another. I pulled my items from the last store over a year
ago and haven't found another. I have a few things in a 3D store but it's not a large one and has a very small customer base.
With all this going on I have decided I need to do something. I NEED my medication and I NEED the test strips so I know when to take emergency medication. While I do get medical assistance I have co-pays just like anyone else
and we need to supplement our food income, we've resorted to eating lunches at the local soup kitchen on the weekends because there's just not food enough for everyone at the end of the month.
I am not asking for donations, I don't want a hand out. What I am going to do is have a huge sale running until Sept 15th.
You can buy all my scrap kits in 1 bundle for less than $1 each. I have 37 kits for $20. If you would like to buy just specific ones the price is $2 for the first one and $1 for each additional kit. You can look at the kits here
These kits are every one I have ever created from the very beginning. Including kits that were once for sale at Artistic Minds Inc a long time ago.
I am also selling my clipart/tubes for less than $1 each if purchased as a bundle. The entire collection is $25, these are also available in individual packs at $1 each. There are well over 50 tube packs, some of them have never
been released. You can view those HERE
If you have a license from AIL you can use that license on your tags, if you need a license please let me know.
I am also available for commissioned tube/clipart packs at $5 a pack 3 tubes/clipart a pack please email me for information
If you wish to purchase individual clipart or kits or a commissioned pack please use this link
Both packs can be purchased for commercial use at an additional cost. Please email me if you would like more information
Finally, shortly I will be posting my poser/daz items for a discounted price as well.

Tough People Do
This isn’t tagger or Clipart related but it’s something that touches most of us today. September 11, 2001 and Americas’/American’s perseverance.
For any of you who do not know much about the United States of America and it’s history I will do a sort of quick run down. America was being taxed on everything and England had refused us (the colonies) representation in the House of Parliament so we did what people do when they aren’t being treated appropriately we revolted and we fought to be our own nation. This is the basic most simplistic description of our revolution with England.
Throughout our history the United States has been faced with extreme adversity both man made as well as natural. We never seem to know the word quit and this is something we all should be proud of.
The Great Depression, WWII when so many of our young and old men went to other countries to help with the war on Nazi Germany, disasters like hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, the Wild fires in the west, September 11,2001 when our country was attacked for whatever reason a foreign faction deemed appropriate, even what is now called “the great recession” We cry, we scream, we suffer from PTSD, yes and sometimes we go to war.
That isn’t what I want to focus on. What I want to focus on is this. The United States of America never just lays down and says we’re done. American’s as a whole do not know the word quit. We pick up our tools be them pen and paper or a hammer and nails and we get back to work when it’s all said and done. We take our time to greave, we say our prayers, and when it’s time to rebuild New Orleans, the World Trade Center, most of the western USA we do what has to be done. I want to tell you both American’s and those of you who aren’t, that THIS is why American’s are proud of our country. It’s not the stereotype of rednecks and guns, everyone being rich (which we all aren’t) It’s the never say die attitude America/American’s have. It’s the fact that as a whole we NEVER EVER give up hope. We keep on keeping on. I know there are other countries who are just the same in this respect but it’s your country and you should be proud of it just as American’s are proud of America.
We find heroes in our everyday lives in everyday people. People who won’t just stand by while one person beats on another because “it’s not their business” Granted there are still people like that in America but as a whole we as a nation feel it is our duty to stand up for the little guy and if that means building a house for our neighbor who lost it all in a wildfire then that’s what we do. We have people on an airplane in Pennsylvania who brought down a plane for the greater good, gave their lives to save the lives of others. Firefighters and Policemen who didn’t run away but towards a burning collapsing building in NY 11 years ago today. A teacher who calls CPS because a child comes to school beaten and bruised, a Dr. who donates his time in a free clinic. We are America and we are proud and we have EVERY REASON TO BE!

New Girls Sent off to AIL
Well,
I have sent off two new “packs” of clipart to AIL I hope you all like them. I also have some plans for some winter tubes/clipart but first I have to finish up my custom morph character for the 3D content stores I sell at and also complete the item I promised to one of them for their Halloween give away.
With the start of the fall season fast approaching I will be extremely busy trying to get 3D content products out, seasonal clipart and the freebies coming up. Plus I get to help my sister (you can find her blog here) potty train the hellion we affectionately call Ick. Please don’t be too upset if I can’t post every single item I add to stores. If you want regular updates during the fall season/holiday season you can follow me on twitter @AngelicArtwork or my fan page on Facebook. Also, one of the things I am planning to work on in the next month or so are some Facebook giveaway. I am thinking the first one will be a custom character for V4 or A4 (poser or Daz studio useable)
Anyway, here are the images for the clipart I sent to AIL today.
